Liz Ortiz
Liz Ortiz, M.A., ERYT-500, YACEP has a Masters Degree in both Health Education and Stress Management. She began teaching vinyasa yoga in 1999 and trained under the ISHTA lineage with Alan Finger. She holds multiple yoga teaching certifications totaling more than 1000 hours of training, including most recently 200 hours with Yoga Works in 2019 and a YIN certification with Josh Summers in 2020. When Liz teaches, she balances the power and challenge of yoga asana with a strong connection to yoga philosophy and inspiration. When synchronized with breath, the postures help one find a home for both body and mind, and the practice opens the door to a deeper knowledge of oneself. This is the true intention of yoga and the way in which Liz likes to teach.
In addition to teaching, Liz has been a yoga teacher trainer since 2002 and is a continuing education provider with Yoga Alliance. Liz was the co-owner of Living Yoga in Cold Spring, NY from 2012-2017, which was voted the Best Yoga Studio in the Hudson Valley 5 years in a row. Liz is now a certified Health and Wellness Coach which provides her the opportunity to extend what she does in the field of wellness. She loves working with people who want to forge healthy and sustainable habits that help them become the best version of themselves. You can read more about Liz on her website www.thisgoodspace.com.
