Marissa Long

Marissa Long is an E-RYT 500 certified yoga teacher through YogaWorks, NYC. She began her practice in 2008 at Exhale in Venice Beach, Ca., studying with world-renowned teachers including Annie Carpenter, Seane Corn, Shiva Rea, Saul David Raye, and Kishan Shah.
Movement has been a lifelong thread in Marissa’s journey. She began dancing at the age of three and is classically trained in a wide range of styles. Her background expanded to include over a decade of teaching experience in yoga, Pilates, barre, and cardio dance. She is also a dedicated martial artist, training in both MMA and Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu.

Now a mental health counselor-in-training and somatic practitioner, Marissa integrates yoga, nervous system science, and trauma-informed care into her work. Her approach is grounded in Polyvagal Theory, interoception, and the belief that healing begins by coming home to the body.

Marissa’s classes are challenging yet inviting, blending intelligent sequencing with breath, alignment, and nervous system attunement in a way that is physically dynamic, fun, and designed to release tension, build strength, and restore a sense of ease and vitality. She also offers mindfulness, grounding, and meditation practices that cultivate inner resilience and create a safe, empowering space for strength and stillness
